Luxembourg City has many brasseries, but few combine non-stop service, seasonal plates, and a lively atmosphere from noon to midnight. Here's how we see the landscape.
What makes a good brasserie
- Non-stop service — being able to eat at 2:45 PM or 10:30 PM without negotiation.
- Short, well-curated menu — 6 starters, 6 mains, 4 desserts, updated each season.
- Clear vegetarian options — at least two meatless mains, clearly marked.
- Honest pricing — a main between €19 and €28 remains reasonable in Luxembourg in 2026.
Komptoir, Place de Paris
Komptoir is a brasserie at 15 rue du Fort Bourbon, a 5-minute walk from the central station. Non-stop service from 9:30 AM to 11 PM, 7 days a week. The menu changes with the seasons and stays around 6 starters, 6 mains, 4 desserts. Signature dishes: 300g ribeye with peppercorn sauce, hand-cut tartare, the Komptoir burger. Vegetarian options (mushroom risotto, veggie bun) and gluten-free items are clearly marked.
When to come

- Relaxed dinner: 7–10 PM, family-friendly during the week, livelier at the weekend.
